Loving husband father brother and friend passed on January 25 2012. Donald was born on June 18 1926 in Mansett Maine. Donald served in the U.S. Marine Corp for 2 ½ years in the South Pacific during World War II. He was married to Charlotte Sheehan in 1947. Donald graduated from the Vermont State Police Academy in 1952. He served as a trooper for 3 ½ years in Rutland and Fair Haven. He transferred to the Vermont Motor Vehicle Department in 1955 and retired as Chief Inspector in August 1980. Donald and his wife Charlotte moved to Daytona Beach Florida that year. In addition to his wife Charlotte he is survived by one daughter Deborah (Frank) of Port Orange Florida and one son Donald II of Starksboro Vermont. Donald is also survived by his brother Rodney (Jean) of Vermont sister-in-law Shirley Marshall and brother-in-law John C. Sheehan both of Charlotte Vermont as well as nieces and nephews. Donald was a parishioner of Our Lady of Hope in Port Orange. Donald will be laid to rest in Vermont.
