Mr. Donald "Don" Cataldo, 89, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away July 24, 2023.

A funeral mass will be held at St Brendan's Catholic Church (Ormond Beach, FL), Monday July 31st at 11:00. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 10:00.

Don was born on January 11, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY. Following high school graduation, Don joined the US Army and served until 1956. Following the completion of his service, Don joined the New York City Police Department. After a 18 year career in law enforcement, Don moved his family to Spartanburg, SC where he would spend the next 20 years employed as the Security Manager for Belk.

Don was a kind and compassionate man, known for his sense of humor and devotion to his loved ones. He was a passionate follower of all New York professional sport teams and an avid fan of horse racing.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Don is survived by his daughters, Donna Patton (Brendan) of Dothan, AL, Lori McCormick (Mark) of Spartanburg, SC: and granddaughter Lilly Patton of Dothan, AL

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Gerry.
