passed away on Friday Decem
ber 12 2008. Her family will be
receiving friends at the Baggett-
Summers Funeral Home 736 S.
Beach Street Daytona Beach to
day (Monday December 15
2008) from 5 pm until 7 pm. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be
held at the Basilica of St. Paul
Catholic Church at 9:00 am on
Tuesday December 16 2008
with interment to follow at Day
tona Memorial Park. She was
born on April 22 1926 in La
trobe PA. Mrs. Blanyer was a re
tired registered nurse she
worked at Halifax Medical Cen
ter and was instrumental in the
opening of the Daytona Interna
tional Speedway Hospital and
the Speedway was a very impor
tant part of her life. She enjoyed
volentering at multiple clinics
and taught EMT classes. She is
preceded in death by her hus
band John Paul Blanyer. Survi
vors include her two daughters
Paula of Port Orange and Mary
""Terry"" Flowe of Clayton N.C;
her brother Danny (Martha) Rullo of Latrobe PA; her sisters
Mary Rose (John) Slivosky of
Greensburg PA. and Linda Bash
of Latrobe PA; four grandchil
dren and six great-grandchil
dren; and many other family
