Obituary

Dina Maugeri, 52, Ormond Beach, passed away June 4, 2017. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, June 10th from 10:30am-2pm at The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach, FL which will include a memorial service and Celebration of Life. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Richard (Rick) of 30 years and her four adoring children, Brett, Cameron, Jordan & Spencer; her father, Nick Perilli, Sr., siblings, Kathy Jackoway, Nick Perilli, Jr. and wife Debbie, Lori Pryt and husband Bob; along with her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. She also left behind her fur-babies, Jilly, Jack, Jagger, Remi and Rolex. Dina was born on February 18, 1965 in Mount Vernon, NY, the daughter of Nicholas & Geraldine Perilli. She grew up in Mahopac, NY and after graduating from Mahopac High School, she worked as a hair stylist. It was there, as a teenager, that she met her future husband, Rick. They were married in New York in 1987, and moved to Florida in 1988. One year later, they welcomed their first child, followed by 3 more over the next 6 years. Dina was the most selfless, loving, caring, compassionate, giving woman that any family could hope for. She had an infectious laugh and a smile that always lit up a room. She dedicated her life to her family, making every day a special experience that created memories to last a lifetime. Her boundless energy and passion to make a difference in the lives of others was endless. She assisted in her children's classrooms, organizing school fundraisers, supervising class trips and projects, and was PTA Volunteer of the Year. Dina was the ultimate example of unselfish love, and she left an everlasting imprint on the lives of everyone she met. The void she left behind can never be filled, but all those who loved her will carry on her legacy of love, joy and family. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Dina's memory to support Penn Medicine's Basser Center for BRCA Research and sent to: Penn Medicine Development, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19104.
