Obituary

Diane Jaracz-Pare, 76, of Deland, FL, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025, surrounded by her children. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication. A sincere thank you to the ICU team at Advent Health Deland Hospital for their compassion and support throughout Diane's care.

Born on January 18, 1949, in Lowell, MA, Diane was the only daughter of Carolyn and Bronislaw Jaracz. As the youngest of three siblings, she developed a passion for life early on. She loved her first car, a Ford Mustang and was immensely proud of her Polish heritage, finding joy in both dancing and cooking, traditions she carried throughout her life.

After graduating from Lowell High School, Diane followed her calling to help others by earning a certificate in medical transcription. Her career spanned over five decades, beginning at St. John's Hospital in Massachusetts before she joined Physicians Associations in Florida. Diane was known for her meticulous attention to detail and her caring approach to her work. Her colleagues admired her dedication, and she retired in 2015, leaving a legacy of professional integrity and compassion.

On August 10, 1969, Diane married Richard Pare. They spent 32 years together, raising three children. Above all, Diane's greatest joy was always her family. Her devotion to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild knew no bounds. Whether cheering from the sidelines at baseball games or partaking in quiet dinners at home, Diane's love for her family was constant. She shared an especially deep bond with her only granddaughter, Bryanna, who she is now reunited with in peace.

Diane's enthusiasm for life extended beyond her family. She found happiness in even the simple pleasures of everyday life. Whether it was walking to her local salon for a manicure or hair appointment or catching up with friends at Murph's, a favorite neighborhood restaurant where they gathered for trivia nights, Diane embraced the little moments. These connections with others, filled with laughter and shared stories, brought her the greatest joy.

Diane also had a love for shopping—especially when it involved a good BOGO deal. Her trips with her son, Brian, were among her favorite outings, and every Tuesday was a special occasion for playing the lottery with the same numbers she'd chosen for over 25 years. Brian has vowed to continue this tradition in her memory.

Above all, Diane's warmth and her ability to make others feel loved and welcome is what made her truly special. No matter how long you'd known her, she had a way of making you feel like family. She wasn't just Baci (grandma) to her own loved ones; she was Baci to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Diane was predeceased by her parents, Carolyn and Bronislaw Jaracz; her brother Robert Jaracz; her nephew David Jaracz; and her precious granddaughter Bryanna Navarro. She is deeply missed by her children, Laurie Miller (Mark Swanson), Lissa Pare, and Brian Pare; her grandchildren, Jordan Minchew, Chase Miller, and Brady Pare; her great-grandson Tristyn Navarro; her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Kelly Jaracz; her sister-in-law, Irene Jaracz; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Diane's memory will live on in all of us, a constant reminder of her love, laughter, and strength.
