Dennis
Senne
May 26, 1940 — Aug 3, 2022
Dennis Ray Senne was born in Fairmont, Minnesota, in the summer of 1940. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 – 1961, and in the Naval Reserves from 1962 – 1967. After his time in the service, he returned to Minnesota, where he attended college at Mankato State, and later, Drake University in Iowa.
He eventually made his way to Chicago, where he met the love of his life, Loretta Corvo, who remained his wife, friend, and companion for all the days of his life. He was blessed with a loving family, two sons, Jeff and Deric, and a daughter, Suzanne (Sue). They have been the pride and joy of Dennis' life, as they have succeeded in their personal and professional endeavors and most importantly, gave him two grandchildren, Chris and Mateo, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Dennis always had an engineer's mind, and spent his professional career in large, professional companies, such as Carrier and Mitsubishi, in addition to patenting his own inventions and building his own businesses. Dennis was always quick with a smile and a cheerful greeting, and while, like us all, his life was filled with challenges, successes, and setbacks, his indomitable spirit and love for his family and friends was never diminished. If the success of a man is defined by who he loved and who loved him, Dennis was truly the richest man in the world, and will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
A viewing will be held at Shepherd of the Coast Church in Palm Coast, Florida from 4:00 – 5:45 pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, with services to follow at 6 pm. He will be interred at 9:30 am, Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida, where he will be near the sea he loved. The family and friends who visit him can also celebrate his love of mechanics and daring adventure at nearby Cape Kennedy.
