Services for Dennis Robinson 70 of Ormond Beach FL who died on August 24 2011 after a short painful battle with cancer will be held on Saturday August 27th at 3:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home 733 W. Granada Blvd. with Pam Stewart Officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services.
Dennis was born July 27 1941 in Brooklyn NY. He leaves his loving wife of 51 years Jean daughters Debbie (Ken) Gow Ormond Beach and Karen (Ed Boss) Robinson Apex NC. a sister Helen (Alan) Burtchell Littleton NC seven devoted grandchildren four great-grandchildren caring in-laws many nieces and nephews and his loyal three-legged dog Chi-Chi. He was predeceased by their two sons Wayne and Kevin.
Dennis served in the US Navy for four years much of it on NAS Pt. Lyautey Kenitra Morocco. He enjoyed his family camping fishing diving geo-caching pinochle cruising and computers. He retired as a Machine Maintenance Superintendent from Gaylord Container Raleigh NC.
He will be greatly missed by his entire family and friends and will be remembered as a good man who was always willing to help. He will be buried at a later date at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his honor to one's favorite charity or Vitas Innovative Hospice Care 2381 Mason Ave. # 100 Daytona Beach FL 32117.
