Funeral Services for Delbert L. Groenewold age 84 who passed away Monday May 9th will be Saturday May 14th at 10:30am at Llanerch Presbyterian Church Havertown PA. Interment with Military honors will immediately follow at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30am preceding the service. Mr. Groenewold was born in Madrid NE on Nov. 22 1920. He lived in Havertown PA most of his life and moved to join his daughter in Ormond Beach FL three years ago. He repaired aircraft for the war effort and served in the Army during WWII. Later he worked for Decker Corp. in Bala Cynwyd PA and then for the Chilton Publishing Co. in Radnor PA. Delbert was a member of Llanerch Presbyterian Church and a pure outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years Nancy. He is survived by his two daughters Lynn Mackes and husband Harold of Bethlehem PA and Kathy Hirsemann and finance Ken Nichols of Ormond Beach FL; four grandchildren Rick Jennifer Matthew and Ryan and two great grandchildren April and Heather. Remembrances may be made in his memory to Llanerch Presbyterian Church 9 E. Park Rd. Havertown PA 19083. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Frank Videon Funeral Home.
