DEBRA YVONNE (WADDOUPS) BROCK

Debra Brock of Ormond Beach, Florida (known as Debbie, Mom, Grandma, Aunt Debbie, and various other titles) passed away on August 22nd, 2026, after a short illness. Surrounded by family and friends during her last few days, she was able to visit with many of them and share memories of great times together. Her love and infectious smile will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband Darrell L. Brock, sons Dustin (Savannah) Brock and David Brock, grandsons Connor Brock and Caleb Brock (all of Ormond Beach, Florida), brother Blake (Tina) Waddoups, sisters Linda (Ralph) Peters and Brenda (Arlen) Sanders, and numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Cassandra and Lynn Waddoups and brother Brent L. Waddoups Sr.

Debbie had the ultimate green thumb in growing a wide variety of plants and flowers and enjoyed many hours tending to her gardens. Watching a variety of birds and deer in her backyard every day and evening brought special joy to her. She was an amazing woman who loved life, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Debbie was retired from a career of service to others, including the Division of Blind Services and the Volusia County School Way Café.

Plans are being made for a celebration of her life to occur in the near future and a date will be announced when known. In lieu of flowers (or plants!) please consider a donation to either the Halifax Humane Society in Daytona Beach or to the American Cancer Society.
