Deborah Ann Strubell, 65, of South Daytona, passed away peacefully on August 18 ^th , 2018. She was born on October 3 ^rd , 1952 in Syracuse, New York to the late Samuel J. Sr. and Mary Lou Catalane. She was a graduate of Mainland Senior High School in Daytona Beach, FL, class of 1970. She then pursued a career as an RN, graduating from Shady Side Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1974.  She married Larry Wayne Strubell of Erie, Pennsylvania on August 1981, in Daytona Beach. Her nursing career spanned more than 40 years. Debbie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; relaxing with a cup of coffee, her beloved cats, spending time with her grandchildren, and chatting with friends and family.  She was loved and admired by many people in the community and had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, she will be truly missed.

Debbie is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Larry Strubell. She is survived by her only daughter, Heather (Charles Sullivan) Strubell; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and two grandchildren, Danica and Zachary Sullivan.

Service will be Friday, August 31 ^st at 11:00 am at Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange, FL. Viewing for family and friends will be Thursday, August 30 ^th , from 6pm-8pm. Burial following the service will be at Daytona Memorial Park.
