Deborah ?Debbie? Osborne age 50 of Deland FL passed away Wednesday August 8th with her husband at her bedside at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange Fl. Her family will receive friends at her visitation on Saturday August 12th from 5-7pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. There will be a private memorial service at a later date. Debbie was born on September 10 1955 in Los Angelas CA and moved to this area as a child in 1960. She graduated from UCF with BS MS and PhD in Industrial Engineering. She was a mathematics professor at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and owned her own business Optimal Engineering Solutions with her partners whom she loved David Ross and Jack George. Debbie loved to garden loved the beach and traveling; but she particularly loved her family and was well loved by everyone who knew her. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Paul and volunteered for eleven years teaching Sunday School. She was also a long time volunteer at the Pregnancy Crisis Center. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years Mike; her two children Alexis and Michael her grandson Rune Henry Davis her parents Marcus and Barbara Fortier of Daytona Beach FL; her two sisters Cindi Ted Serbousek of Ormond Beach FL; Suzette Bob Calabrese of Port Orange FL; her five brothers Marcus Fortier of Daytona Beach FL Stephen Vivian Fortier of Deland FL; TimothyTracey of Savannah GA; Matthew Fortier of Savannah GA; and Anthony Fortier John of Deland FL; and her sister in law Stevie Jim Bennett of Las Cruces NM; and a host of very close friends.
