Deborah Ann Noga Garner went home to be with the Lord on September 23rd, 2016. Debbie was born in Tifton, GA on her mother's birthday, September 14th, 1952. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and Mema.
Debbie grew up in Daytona Beach, and graduated from Mainland High School in 1971. She retired from the Volusia County School Board after 36-years, the last 27 at Deland Middle School.
Debbie married Jim, the love of her life, on July 15, 1978. From that day forward, the next 38 years, she was known as his "Little D" and shared a loving relationship in her dream home, "Paisley Paradise" on the lake with the bears and deer.
"Miss Debbie" was a devoted member and secretary at Liberty Baptist Church in Deland, Florida and was a participant of the "Ladies Prayer and Care" group, which was dear to her heart. Her passion was her family, her animal kids, and her charity towards Baptist Children's home in Lakeland, FL.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband Jim "Sonny"; sisters Marye Best (Wesley), Janice Carson (George), Nancy Gabriel (Peter); Stepson's Todd Garner (Tina), Tim Garner (Debbie), and Ty Garner (Carol); four Garner grandchildren and two great grandsons; along with three nieces and three nephews. A gathering of Family and Friends will begin at 11 am on Wednesday, September 28th at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona followed by a Funeral Service for Debbie at 12:00 pm.
