Deborah Lee Fries, born March 1, 1954, passed away peacefully June 12, 2015 after a courageous battle from a long illness. She was known for being an area bartender for many years and later aided at Ormond Beach Elementary as a well-known volunteer. She was a caring, warm hearted soul who had a "stay strong" attitude to the end.
She always brought smiles to those who knew her. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and enriching the lives of those around her. She was always willing to lend a hand for those in need. But most of all, she enjoyed tending to her family, She leaves behind her devoted and loving husband of 23 years, Jeff and the two most precious gifts in her life, her children, son Danny Peckham and daughter Ashley Fries. She was always proud of her children, talking about them with anyone she came in contact with. She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda and Barbara, as well as a brother, Billy in Virginia. Deborah was pre-deceased by both her parents Lucille Cross and her father James Tussing.
She will be truly missed by many friends and extended family.
There will be no services and In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in her name to honor her "Stay Strong" attitude.
