A graveside service for Deanna Kay (Dee) Summers, 86, of Daytona Beach, FL, who died on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Ormond Beach, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday October 5, 2024 at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.  Entombment will follow.  She was born in Monroe, WI to the late Roy and Mildred Grant and moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1956 after graduating from West Monroe High School.   Dee is predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Lawrence J. (Larry) Summers.  She moved to Daytona Beach with her husband and family in 1970 and later served as Secretary/Treasurer of Baggett and Summers Funeral Homes.  She was a long-time member of the Halifax River Yacht Club, The Basilica of St. Paul's Catholic Church, The Halifax Club, Oceanside Country Club, and The Pelican Bay Country Club where she was very active with the President's Ball for many years.  She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, cruising, golfing, gardening and football.  She loved her Green Bay Packers and Florida Gators.  Dee was very invested in her grandsons' lives and especially thrilled about the recent birth of her great-grandson, Baby Theo.  Survivors include her 3 daughters, Lori Summers Wolfe, Daytona Beach, Kim Summers Snell, Gotha, and Pamela Grant Summers, Placida; son-in-law, Joseph Bryan Snell, Gotha; 3 grandsons, Christopher M. (Kimberly) Ramey, Riverview, Bryan L. Snell, Ormond Beach, and Tyler J. (Mia) Snell, Ocoee, and one great-grandson, Theodore Snell, Ocoee.
