Dean Adkins, 86, of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully at home Monday, April 17, 2023. Dean was a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather. Born in Sias, West Virginia, he raised his family in Midland, Pennsylvania where he worked at Crucible Steel Mill for 37 years. He moved with his family to Daytona in 1983 and worked at Daytona Beach Country Club for many years. He was a member of the Daytona BMW club and loved traveling the country riding with his wife Marie. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and inspired the love of both for the family. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. His example of respect, dignity and the countless blessings he gave us all will last forever.
He is survived by his three sons; David, Dean and Dan, their wives; Jenefer, Kimberly and Dawn, grandchildren; Monica, Bryon, Jonathan Daniel, Clayton, Elise and Pete.
There will be a memorial service at Lohman Funeral Home in Daytona Beach on Saturday, April 29th from 12 – 1 pm followed by internment at Hillside Cemetery in Ormond Beach.
