Dawn Marie McDonough

January 31, 1961 – April 3, 2025

Dawn Marie McDonough, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, after a long illness. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on January 31, 1961, Dawn spent most of her life in Florida, where she touched many lives with her kindness and warmth. She always looked on the bright side of life, and her sunny disposition brought joy to everyone she met. Her gentle spirit, strong faith, and love for her family and friends will be dearly missed.

Dawn was the beloved daughter of Coleman F. McDonough and Lois A. McDonough. She is survived by her loving mother, Lois, as well as her siblings: Coleman McDonough (Carol) of St. Mary's, GA, Charlie McDonough (Stacy) of Tulsa, OK, Sandy McDonough of Ormond Beach, FL, and Diane McDonough of Ormond Beach, FL.

A passionate educator, Dawn earned a Master's degree in Accounting from Stetson University in DeLand, FL. She devoted much of her professional life to teaching, sharing her knowledge and love of accounting with students at Daytona State College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as an adjunct professor. Most recently, Dawn worked in accounting at Wayne Solar, where she loved being a part of that team.

Dawn's greatest joy, however, was her family. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews. Dawn also had a passion for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for her loved ones. She was a long-time member of Oasis Church and deeply enjoyed the fellowship of her Circle, which met every Thursday.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Oasis Church located at 85 S. Tymber Creek Road, Ormond Beach, FL with a reception to follow in the Family Center.
