Dawn Nichole Estrella, 47, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Born on August 27, 1979, in Franklin, Indiana, Dawn lived a life defined by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear.

Dawn devoted 19 years to the field of clinical research, building a respected and accomplished career with the same company. Through her hard work, integrity, and exceptional leadership, she earned the admiration of colleagues and advanced to the role of Clinic Director, a position that reflected both her professional achievements and perseverance.

While she was deeply devoted to her career and to caring for her mother, nothing brought Dawn greater pride or joy than her children. They were the center of her world and the focus of her greatest accomplishments. No matter how demanding life became, she always made time for them, offering unconditional love, encouragement, and support. She created a safe space filled with warmth, acceptance, and understanding, where her children knew, they could always turn to her for guidance, comfort, and a listening ear.

Dawn approached life with enthusiasm, optimism, and a sense of adventure. She loved long walks on the beach, traveling to new places, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. She embraced new experiences wholeheartedly and believed in making the most of every moment. As a loyal Raiders fan, she faithfully supported her team through every season. And if there was music playing, she could often be found on the dance floor, happily dancing whether anyone joined her or not. Her infectious energy, warm smile, and genuine kindness drew people to her, and she had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome.

Dawn's kindness touched countless lives. She was the person people could depend on, always ready to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply be there when someone needed her. Her generosity, warmth, and selfless nature left an enduring impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the lives she touched so deeply, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Dawn is survived by her son, Josh Estrella; daughter, Serena Estrella; daughter, Aliyah Estrella; daughter, Mariah Estrella; mother, Pamela Winkler; brother, Derick Winkler; brother, Terry Winkler; brother, James Winkler; best friend, Sabra Mosley; Mia, and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Winkler.

There will be a celebration of Dawn’s Life on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 6pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach located at 733 West Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, Florida 32174. Visiting time will begin at 5pm at the funeral home.
