Funeral service for David Mason Willman 84 will be held on Saturday January 19 2008 at 10:00 am at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona Chapel with a visitation for friends and family on Friday January 18 2008 from 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Mr. Willman was born December 2 1923 in Hillsboro Ohio. He has been a resident of Daytona Beach since 1964. Mr. Willman was the owner and operator of Gateway Gulf across from Daytona International Speedway for 10 ½ years. Also he was the owner of East Coast Aircraft in New Smyrna Beach and Spruce Creek Fly-In for several years. Dave was a master Aircraft Mechanic and Inventor. Mr. Willman also loved his airplanes. He was an absolute expert on the Ercoupe and Navion Aircraft. He was always more comfortable at the controls of one of his many airplanes. Mr. Willman was always eager to help anyone with a problem. He was a great teacher and was very good at explaining things mechanical aerodynamics hydraulics or anything he could share. He also believed one should learn new things each and everyday. Mr. Willman is already greatly missed by all who loved him. We thank the Lord for giving us this great man for 84 years. Mr. Willman is survived by his wife of 61 years Norma Willman. Survivors also include his three children; Danny (Debi) Willman Kathy (Larry) Cline and Steve (Mary) Willman; seven grandchildren;Ashley Taylor Jessica Alison Sara Cristle and Daniel; five great-grandchildren; Wyatt Alexis Brianna Reese and Caleb; four step-great-grandchildren; Caitlin John Lexi and Mikayla. He is also survived by his brother Jim (Dorothy) Willman and many nieces nephews and cousins.
