David E. Smith, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on Monday August 30th, 2021. He was 74. David was born November 22, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland.

A college graduate with a master's degree, and a captain in the Army, David was an incredibly smart, devoted and hardworking man. After spending 30 years working for the federal government, David retired and moved to Florida where he enjoyed spending time in his pool and hot tub. David, known as Pop by his family, was a huge fan of the Baltimore Ravens. Pop was also a lifelong baseball fan, having season tickets to the Orioles in 1971. He loved movies and music, especially Elvis and the Beatles. The only thing he loved more than movies was the family he watched them with.

David is survived by Barbara, his wife of 49 years; his sons and their spouses, Bill and Debbie, Allen and Sandy; his daughter Margaret; and his grandchildren Cynthia, Zachary, Jeremy, David, Braeden, Abigail and Lauren.

David was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Margaret, and brother Steve.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, September 13th at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast, FL 32137 . Visitation will start at 10:00 am and continue until the time of the funeral service. David will be interred in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. Barbara and family will be accepting guests at her home after the service.
