David Ryan, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, unexpectedly passed away on October 20, 2025.

Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Dave moved with his family to Hawaii, northern Virginia; Okinawa, Japan; and Beaufort, South Carolina before returning to Ormond Beach and graduating as a member of Seabreeze HS Class of '94. Approaching all activities with an adventurous spirit and a competitive drive, Dave was an avid and accomplished golfer participating in numerous American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournaments during his youth. Dave later graduated from University of North Florida in Jacksonville and began his professional career as a sales representative with MAC Papers, working in both Atlanta, Georgia, and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Dave later found his true calling in the medical field, working with several medical device companies providing surgical assistance to physicians in operating room procedures. Providing medical assistance to surgeons and patients through critical these procedures brought him great fulfillment. He took pride not only in the art of selling but also in supporting those who dedicated their lives to caring for others.

He also enjoyed cooking - especially for his family; as well as golf, baseball, fishing, political podcasts, and memories of shared travel adventures with his brother and family. But above all, his daughters, Landon and Avery, are his deepest love.

Dave will be remembered for his sharp sense of humor, quick wit, and remarkable photographic memory—especially his gift for recalling classic movie lines, which he lovingly sharing to bring smiles and laughter to those around him. Dave's warmth, humor, and devotion to his family will be missed by all who knew him.

Dave is survived by his daughters, Landon and Avery Ryan (Signal Mountain, Tennessee), his parents Jim and Judy Ryan (Ormond Beach), his brother Tom Ryan (Stefanie) and daughter Stevie (Ormond Beach); uncles Jim McFarland (Ormond Beach), Robert McFarland (Kathy) (Ormond Beach); and aunt Jane (Dan) Patterson (Reedsville, PA).
