Dean Riley died on August 17, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Bridgewater, Massachusetts to the late William and Agnes (Swift) Riley, and raised in Brockton "City of Champions" Massachusetts. He graduated from Brockton High School in 1959. Upon graduation, Dean joined the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Bently College, and later his Master of Science in taxation, also from Bentley College. He had his own accounting firm in New Hampshire for 45 years, until his retirement. While his carreer has been full of notable achievements, Dean is most proud to have been a contributing delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business held in 1986.
Dean was predeceased by his sister Barbara Byers, daughter Carol Mary and son, Sean Patrick Riley. He was the beloved husband to his wife of fifty eight years Ann Marie ( Crawford) Riley. He is also survived by his daughter Bridget K Perry, and grandchildren M.Lee, Peter, Tristan and Wyatt, all of North Carolina. He is also survived by his sisters, Margaret-Ann Hill of Massachusetts and Evelyn Masefield (Wayne) of Virginia.
Dean volunteered time with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and was a guardian ad litem in New Hampshire.
Dean was an avid runner, competing in a number of races at ABC's Wide World of Sports and the National Senoir Games held in Orlando, Florida, placing fourth in the 10K run and winning a bronze medal in the 5K run. He also loved playing baseball and tennis.
A memorial service will be held next summer on Cape Cod.
