It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David L. Mason on September 16, 2018. David was born on March 21, 1921 in Faceville, GA. to Rufus and Janie Mason. He was the beloved husband of Hilda C. Mason for over 72 years, and proud father of their four children, Donel, (predeceased), Taroo, Randy (predeceased) and Dorian. He was also the beloved grandpa to David and Kijana. David was also predeceased by his sister Ruthie Watson and brother Henry Mason. He had a passion for guitars, was a self - taught musician, and was a proud member of the NRA. David worked as a waiter in NYC and retired from New York City Transit Authority as a dispatcher. He was a man who loved many things in life, but his greatest love was that of his family, which can only be described as immeasurable. Funeral Services will be held for David on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, with visitation from at 11a.m. to time of service.
