David A. Kelly 65 of Palm Coast FL died unexpectedly on February 29 2012. The family is planning a memorial for a later date. David was born in Everett MA moving to North Miami Beach Florida where he was employed as Assistant Chief of the police Department until his retirement in 1995. David then moved to Palm Coast. He served in the U.S. Navy as a veteran in the Vietnam Era. He will be remembered as a dedicated NASCAR fan and his participation as an amateur driver in "All Police Charities" races in South FL. He was an American Cancer Society Volunteer Driver for their Road to Recovery program. David was a loyal and true friend and his rich sense of humor will be missed. David was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Ernst and William F. Kelly. He is survived by his devoted and loving partner of 24 years Susan Bonell of Palm Coast FL. his cherished friend Stacy Parks of Dania FL two sisters Sandra (John) Mincher of Palm Coast FL Karen Kelly of Flagler Beach two nieces Kelly Nelson of Palm Coast and Hope Bathrick of Burlington VT.
