David Louis Harrison 69 of Deland Florida passed away on August 9 2012. A Memorial gathering will be held on Friday August 17 2012 from 4:30 p.m. until the Memorial Service at
5: 30 pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Deland Chapel 935 NY Ave. Deland FL. David was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale FL. He graduated from Stranahan H.S. then attended the University of Miami earning his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He and his wife Elizabeth lived in Georgia Texas Pennsylvania New Hampshire and Connecticut finally moving back to FL settling in Deland 11 years ago. He was employed as a Principal Project Engineer in the Turnkey Estimating Department for Siemens Energy Inc. in Orlando. David was the President of the North Florida Section of the AACEi and was former president of the ASPE Connecticut Nutmeg Chapter. He had earned professional certifications with both associations. He was a proud member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church Houston Texas. David will be remembered for his love of working and his passion for karate and fishing. David was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Milla. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Elizabeth of Deland son Richard David Harrison (Becky) of Ocala daughters Lynda Miller (Robert) of Longwood Laura Harrison of Gainesville and sister Dale Kraus (Gary) of Plantation. He was also the loving grandfather of his grandchildren Katie Matthew and Ricky. Donations in David's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
