David Lawrence Epps, 54, left on a journey to comfort after a long and brave battle with the pain of a debilitating spinal injury. He was born on March 8, 1961 in Clearwater, Florida to Dan and Lois Epps. Following the family's move to Ormond Beach in 1965, David attended Mainland High School, followed by Daytona Beach Community College. He enjoyed a broad range of hobbies and interests, including boating, motorcycling, music, and information technology. He was gifted in all aspects of computer technology and put that to use working in Information Technology for U.S. Foods. David was predeceased by his parents, his brother Gary and his infant sister, Janet. Survivors include his sister, Nancy Epps, brother Roger Epps, his two nephews and one niece. The family asks that you consider a donation in David's name to either the Halifax Humane Society of Daytona Beach or Ponce Inlet Animal Welfare. A service for David will be held on Tuesday, March 1st at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona at 11:30 a.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior.
