David Lee Daubenmire, 79 of Ormond Beach, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Halifax Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, between the hours of 2-4 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 4:00 p.m.
David served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and went on to a very successful business man owning and operating his own computer company. He has been a resident of Volusia County since 1998, relocating from Columbus, Ohio. David loved the game of golf and enjoyed to company of his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor telling jokes and sharing stories. He was also a member Oceanside Country Club and the Riviera Country Club where he shot a hole-in-one.
David is survived by his son, Tyler Daubenmire and his wife Erica of Vero Beach; his daughter, Devin Gram and her companion Barbara of Hayward, California; his sister, Alice Morse-Daubenmire; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Jean Daubenmire, and a son, Todd Andrew Daubenmire.
