Obituary

David B. Bonner passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of  90. He was born in Camden, Alabama to Dollie and Ernest Bonner. As the youngest son of educators, David developed a love of learning and serving to assist others.
David was blessed to serve to branches of the military: The U.S. Marine Corps and U. S. Army. He took pride in serving his country, Following, the military and college he became a missionary with the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. where he  and his wife Evelyn resided in Hawaii, Georgia, and later Alaska.
The family stayed in Alaska for many years, until his retirement in 2000. He also lived in West Point, Mississippi, Concord, North Carolina, and Marshall, Texas.
David moved to the Daytona Beach area in 2009.
He and his family traveled extensively reaching all fifty states by the time he was forty and traveled globally to countries such as Austria, China, Japan, Germany, Finland and others.
David was a member of numerous organizations.
He is survived by his daughter Davita Bonner,  Terhi Rajala, foreign exchange daughter, Helsinki, sister Ruth B. Collins, nieces, Dollien Patterson, Olga Harris,
Jeanette Secrest, Dr. Marian Bonner and Dr. Jocelyn Bonner.
He is also survived by his nephews: Virgil Rhodes, Michael Williams, and Palmer Williams.

A memorial service will be held on November 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM at:

United Presbyterian Church
