David Lee Baumgardner, 82, of Paisley, Florida, passed away peacefully. He was born on June 18, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was raised and graduated from high school.

David valued education and lifelong learning. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and later received his master's degree from Rollins College. Throughout his professional life, he was known for his intelligence, integrity, and dedication to public service. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant and held positions with several organizations, including the Dr. Phillips, Inc. Later, he served as an Auditor for the State of Florida. He also taught accounting in college, mostly in the Greater Orlando area.

Over the years, David's journey took him to many places, including Panama, Pensacola, Fort Pierce, and Lady Lake. Eventually, he settled in Paisley, returning to the property once owned by his parents, a place that held special meaning and many cherished memories.

David was a member of Rotary International and enjoyed the fellowship and service opportunities it provided. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing Pinochle with friends and family. An avid fisherman, he could often be found casting a line in the lakes near his property, finding peace and contentment in the outdoors.

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen Rosenbaum, and his brother, Phillip Baumgardner.

He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his sons, Lee Baumgardner of Urbandale, Iowa, and Dean Baumgardner of Whitleyville, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, William, Eden, and Addie Baumgardner of Urbandale, Iowa.

David will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to family, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
