David G. Bailey, 94, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed peacefully from this life on February 14, 2014.

Mr. Bailey was born on November 12, 1919, in Washington Grove in Montgomery County, MD. He was a World War II veteran, serving several years overseas. After returning home, he worked for National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C. for 13 years and later going into business for himself. He and his wife moved to Port Orange, Florida from Maryland in 1978 after retiring from his business.

Mr. Bailey is survived by his daughter; Bonnie D. Mills, of Daytona Beach, Florida, and two grandsons, as well as three nieces in North Carolina. A private family funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lohman - Daytona Funeral Home. A burial will follow the funeral service at Daytona Memorial Park.
