Daniel N. MacDonald III, 61, of Pierson passed away March 5, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held in Dan's honor on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 5:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jerry Hunter of First Baptist Church of Pierson will officiate.

Dan was born December 2, 1953 in Boston, MA to Daniel and Eleanor MacDonald II. In his early twenties, Dan moved to the Daytona area. He was an electrician by trade, ultimately achieving Master Electrician. Dan worked repairing and maintaining bridges throughout Florida for the past 25 years.

Dan was a classic car enthusiast. His collection included a 1931 Model A truck, a 1966 Impala, and a 1969 Camaro. Dan loved investments and following the stock market. He was also a New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. Dan was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Pierson. Dan's true passion was his family. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Dan will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Anita MacDonald; by his son Derek (Amie) MacDonald; by his daughter Danielle (Scott "Mikey") Leffler; by his 5 grandchildren; by his brothers Douglas (Ellen) and Donald (Laura) MacDonald; and by his sister Janice Walsh (Donald Stewart).
