We are devastated to have lost Daniel after a brief but hard-fought battle with cancer. Dan was born in Miami, FL to Walter and Lorraine Kuras, who predeceased him. He grew up in Hollywood, FL and attended Nativity Parish School and Chaminade-Madonna High School graduating in 1976. Dan went on to earn a BA in Accounting from Biscayne College in 1980, now known as St. Thomas University in Miami, FL. Dan was controller at Caribbean Business Forms Inc. in Miami, for many years. After that company was sold and dissolved, he ventured into the promotional products industry as a producer/printer of spirit towels and then having his own company, Primetime Impressions in Florida, and also Peakview Promotions in Colorado where he lived for 15 years, before moving back to Florida. Dan was an avid sports enthusiast. He played many sports including tennis, golf, softball and basketball. He also coached several championship Optimist roller hockey teams, while living in Broward county. Dan was a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins, University of Miami Hurricanes, the Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers, and NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr. His wife Liz often said with all his football knowledge, he should've become a referee or coach for either the NCAA or NFL. He was a wonderfully loving husband, a dedicated father, and a devoted friend, cousin and son who will be missed dearly by those closest to him, especially his wife Liz of 44 years and son Zachary. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 3rd, 2024 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, 386-673-1100, officiated by Father Queen of St. Brendan The Navigator Parish. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow at the Kuras Home. Please wear your favorite sports team apparel to honor Dan's love of so many sports - particularly football, hockey, golf and NASCAR.
