Daniel J. Julian 76 of Port Orange FL passed away suddenly on February 11 2010. He was born on October 1 1933 in Bronx NY. As a young man he proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. When he returned from the service he attended the University of Connecticut and later started his own carpet business. Upon retiring he relocated to Port Orange where he had been living for the past 7 years. Some of his favorite past times were playing cards and shooting pool with his buddies at Crane Lakes in Port Orange and spending time at the dog track in Daytona. Dan loved sports and was a "DIE HARD" NY Giants and NY Yankees fan. His best times were spent watching these teams as well as taking trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas with friend and son Dave. Dan will be remembered most for his charismatic personality his free-spirit charm unconditional love and inspirational love of life. He will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Left to cherish his memory are his sons Rick of Ocala FL and David of Pt. Orange FL; daughters Amy of San Diego CA Jill of Arizona and several grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Marilynn. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday February 16th at 2:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home 1423 Bellevue Avenue Daytona Beach FL.
