Obituary

Daniel Franklin Byrd, 68, of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on October 19, 1952 in Greensboro, North Carolina to Harold Byrd and the late Nancy Byrd.  Daniel moved to Daytona Beach in 1955 from his birthplace and graduated from Mainland High School in 1970.  He then graduated from Daytona Beach Junior College (now, Daytona State College) with an Associate's Degree.  Daniel owned and operated "The Ultimate Omelet House" in Daytona Beach, Florida for 21 years.

He was an avid sports fan, especially the Florida Gators and the Miami Dolphins.  He also loved trips to Las Vegas and a good cigar.  However, his biggest love was for his family and his friends.

Survivors include his wife of eleven years, Jill A. Byrd; his father, Harold Byrd; three step-children, Michael Kashino, Barbara (Bryant) Earley and Christopher Kashino; a sister, Kathe Byrd; a brother, David (Lori) Byrd; as well as step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Byrd.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am on Sunday October 24, 2021 in the Chapel at Lohman Daytona Funeral Home, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.  The family will be receiving friends from 10:00am until the Service begins at 11:00am.
