Dana Ernest Roux, 71, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Medora and Wood River Illinois, passed away on October 4, 2024. He was born on September 26, 1953 in Wood River, Illinois. In 1971, he graduated from East Alton Wood River High School. After graduation he went on to become a union electrician, being a proud lifetime member of IBEW Local 649. On August 8, 1981, Dana married Georgianna in Wood River. He was an avid duck hunter and enjoyed making memories by including his daughters in his hobby. He was also a member of the Tri-County Rod and Gun Club in Brighton, Illinois. After retirement he and Georgianna moved to Palm Coast Florida, where he enjoyed making friends in his community, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and solving crossword puzzles. Dana enjoyed the peaceful moments watching the sunrise on the beach, but also liked to socialize with his friends at the Golf Club in Palm Coast.

Dana is survived by his loving wife, Georgianna Roux; daughters Katrina (Michael) Roux-Bernstein, Vanessa (Brant) Smith, and Colleen Roux; sister Deborah (Don) Lilly; grandson Cooper; granddaughter Scarlett; and numerous friends that he considered extended family.

There will be a Memorial Service at a later date at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast Chapel located at 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW, Palm Coast, Florida 32137.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dana's memory to Meals on Wheels.
