Obituary

Dalso Weissheimer, 91 years old, passed away with family by his side in Daytona Beach, Florida on April 7, 2026.

Dalso was born to parents Nelson and Rumilda Weissheimer on May 1,1934 in Feliz, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, the second born of 10 children. Dalso moved to Chicago, Illinois in May 1968, working as a toolmaker in the Tool & Die industry. In June 1996 he retired and moved to Palm Coast, Florida.

In his spare time, he often visited family in Brazil. He enjoyed preparing Churrasco (even building his own grill), overindulging his friends and family. He always stayed up to date with politics locally and in South America. His mornings would not be complete without his drive to the corner store for the daily newspaper. Dalso also enjoyed raising cockatiels.

He is survived by his children, Gisela (Michael) Richardson of Grayslake, IL, William (Julie) Weissheimer of Grayslake, IL, Caroline (Daniel) O’Neill of Wauconda, IL. He is further survived by his grandchildren Kenneth Weissheimer, Kurt (Rachael) Weissheimer, Jack Weissheimer and his longtime partner, Amalia Rodriguez.

A celebration of life will take place privately.
