Obituary

Cynthia Lynn Ronan, aged sixty-five, peacefully went to eternal rest with her Lord on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care in Lebanon, New Hampshire after a courageous battle with cancer, with her husband by her side.

Cynthia was born on February 8th, 1961 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Jerry and Constance Cutrona. She graduated from Sayreville War Memorial High School, where she was inducted into the National Honors Society. She attended Rutgers University-Douglas Campus and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation, she was employed by the East Brunswick Office on Aging as a counselor, Paralyzed Veterans of America in Manhattan, worked as a paralegal for a law firm, and as a case worker in Middlesex County Board of Social Services in New Brunswick, from which she retired. Cynthia had been a resident of Old Bridge and South River for many years, and of Palm Coast, Florida for the past three.

Throughout her life, Cynthia was an avid researcher and a seeker of knowledge, ever learning. She was known for her work ethic and determination. A friend quoted: “Cynthia was one of the most focused and determined people I’ve ever met. She would look at a situation, assess it, devise a plan, and then execute it precisely, following through until it was completed. Her diligence was so admirable.” She was thoughtful and generous to those in need. She had a deep passion for art and home decorating. She enjoyed the company of friends and good conversation at their many lunch dates. The greatest joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren who affectionately knew her as ‘Mimi.’ Cynthia was a generous and caring mother whose life was centered on her faith and her family.

She is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Brian; her son Kyle, daughter-in-law Jessica; grandsons Chase and Zachary, granddaughters Juliette and Kinsley; a brother Jeff Cutrona and his wife Doreen, a niece Devan Cutrona, nephews Corey and Shane Speiser and her stepfather Joseph Oles.

Cynthia will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her love, strength, faith and devotion will remain a lasting legacy in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
