Cynthia 'Tining' Garcia, 90 years old, passed away peacefully in Sycamore, Illinois on September 21 ^st , 2021. Cynthia had been a long-time resident of Deland, Florida, spending more than 30 years in the area once arriving from the Philippines.  Mrs. Garcia was born November 13 ^th , 1930 in Butuan, Bohol, Philippines.  She follows her husband, Mr. Buenaventura 'Ben" Garcia, who lead her way to a peaceful rest on March, 16 ^th , 2019.

Tining is survived by her 7 children, 4 daughters and 3 sons; Ms. Larissa Garcia, Mrs. Jocelyn Estalilla – Husband Hector, Mrs. Myrna Amolat – Husband Manny, and Mrs. Deliah Holland – Husband Sean; Mr. Rodeon Garcia – Wife Daisy, Mr. Carlos Garcia, and eldest son Mr. Bonifacio Garcia. Each of her children have succeeded in their own ways and more than a few grandchildren graced their loving grandmother with spouses and families of their own: Capt. Carl Amolat US Army, Capt. Danielle Holland US Air Force, Mychal & Goldie Estalilla, David & Ashley Estalilla – Daughters Avery & Ottillie.  The family in Tining's heart also extends to her remaining sibling, Mrs. Visminda Pintor - Husband Rafael, both residents of the Philippines, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She will be greatly missed as the mother and grandmother who tended her family with a gentle and caring hand for one and all, in both body and spirit.

The family will receive condolences and remember her at 9:00am to 10:15am on Wednesday, October 6 ^th , 2021 at Lohman Funeral Home, 935 E. New York, Deland, Florida. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 6 ^th , 2021 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 359 W. New York, Deland, Florida.  Tining will be laid to rest following the Mass at Deland Memorial Gardens, 600 E. Beresford Avenue, Deland, Florida.  Family and friends are invited for a reception after the graveside service at Venue 142, N. Woodland Boulevard, Deland Florida.
