Simmons 75 of Ormond Beach who passed away on Friday October 6 2006 at Avante Nursing Home Ormond Beach will be held at the convenience of the family in Lexington Kentucky. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery Lexington KY. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach. He was born June 24 1931 in Halls TN the son of Ira and Martha Reed Simmons. He graduated with honors from Halls High School and attended The University of Tennessee. He worked for Kentucky Central Insurance and Life of Georgia Insurance. He held a CLU as a Financial Planner. Mr. Simmons moved to Ormond Beach 9 years ago. He is survived by his wife Alice Ormond Beach 2 Daughters Rebecca and her husband Brian Rickerd Lexington KY Georgia Cavaletto Kentucky 3 Grandchildren Rachael Laurel and Alan Hightower Lexington a Brother William Simmons Covington VA a Sister Mary N. Davis Memphis TN 2 Step Children Lisa Wallin Lexington KY David Hay Nicholasville KY 2 step Grandchildren Evan Hay and Chad Wallin Kentucky. He was predeceased by his first wife Joyce and a Son Jay.
