Curtis Alvin Clark Jr. 62 of Port Orange FL went home to be with our Lord Jesus on September 11 2012. A celebration of life in memory of Curtis will be held on Saturday September 15 2012 at Cardwell Funeral Home with visitation at 11:00 a.m. and service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Curtis was born in Perry FL to Curtis and Clara Clark on September 11 1950. The family moved to South Daytona in 1959. Curtis enjoyed playing golf and barbequing with family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren whom he cared for dearly.
Curtis was a member of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach where he dedicated his time serving in the bus ministry and enjoyed cooking for the annual "Beast Feast." Curtis worked in the construction industry for most of his life installing underground utilities. He was employed for 23 years at Volusia Construction where he worked as a superintendent until suffering a stroke in 2002.
Curtis is predeceased by his parents Curtis and Clara Clark his brothers Phillip Clark and Charles (Buddy) Clark. He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver of 35 years Susan daughter Elizabeth Anderson (Chad) Edgewater son Jim Fanning (Rosanna) Ormond Beach and daughter Shelley Levi (Henry) Edgewater. Grandchildren Justin Haskins Brock Anderson Jimmy Fanning John Fanning Adonna Mason Garrett Ferreria and great grandson Taten Mason. Sister in laws: Joe Ann Knudson Christine Smith and Darlene Reid. Sisters Mary Alice Ledoux Granny Clark (Paul) Peanut Malphurs (John) brothers Freddy Clark (Terry) and Donald Ray Clark (Marion). Aunts: Imogene Walker of Perry FL and Ethel Connell of Jacksonville FL. He is also survived by many nieces nephews and cousins; as well as his sincere friend Lucio Luvano. Curtis will be dearly missed by all.
