Cruz Angelica Ortiz, 82, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away Monday, February 19, 2024.  She was born on May 3, 1941 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  She was a cook by profession, but it brought her joy to cook for and take care of her family and friends; Sunday dinner at her home was a family tradition.

Cruz is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pedro Ortiz and son, Richard Ortiz.  She is survived by her son, Pedro Ortiz, Jr.; daughter, Marisol Ortiz Ruiz (husband, Manuel Ruiz); daughter, Madelin Ortiz Guzman (husband, Jesse Guzman); sister, Carmen Miranda Rivera; brother, Wilfredo Miranda Barrios; brother, Roberto "Cano" Miranda Barrios; grandson, Noah Ortiz; granddaughter, Alexis Ortiz; grandson, Richard Ortiz; granddaughter, Jennifer Hernandez; granddaughter, Naomi Kerr; granddaughter, Jasmine Temple; grandson, David Guzman; granddaughter, Angelica Sandi; grandson, Justin Ruiz; granddaughter, Jessica Ruiz; great grandchildren, Leila Ortiz, Quinn Hernandez, Liam Kerr, Scarlet Kerr, Gavin Guzman, and Silas Guzman; and other extended family and friends.

There will be a viewing on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 4pm-8pm at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast located at 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW, Palm Coast, Florida 32137.  There will be a viewing on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 12pm-4:30pm at Porta Coeli Funeral Home located at 1822 West Chester Avenue, Bronx, New York 10472.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 8am at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church located at 1388 Stratford Avenue, Bronx, New York 10472.  Interment will immediately follow at Saint Raymond Cemetery located at 2600 Lafayette Avenue Bronx New York 10465.
