Cristal Garrett LeGault, 65, Miami, Florida, born on May 10, 1959, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025 in Orange City, Florida surrounded by family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service is planned for Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Deland Church of the Nazarene, 913 East New York Avenue, Deland, Florida. Visitation and Calling hours will begin at 10:30 am with a service at 12:00 pm. A luncheon will follow for all family and friends prepared by the Deland Church of the Nazarene Ladies Fellowship Group following the service.

Cristal loved camping, reading, and traveling to visit family and friends in many places throughout the United States, as well as vacationing frequently in Cancun, Mexico. Cristal graduated from South Dade High School in 1977. She attended Florida International University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1981. She earned her Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Barry University in 1999. Cristal worked for Pan Am Airlines in the Medical Department from 1981 through 1991. Then from 1991 to 1999 she worked at Barry University as the Director of Continuing Education for the School of Podiatry. In 1999, Cristal married George LeGault and moved to St. Albans, Vermont where she worked at the University of Vermont in the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion, until returning home to Florida in 2011. In 2012 Cristal began working for Mears Transportation for their Luxury Vehicle Department and later transferred to Mears Motor Coach Department until her retirement in August of 2024. Cristal had an unfailing love for Jesus and was a member of the Deland Church of the Nazarene, Deland, Florida where she enjoyed attending services and fellowship with the Ladies Bible Study group.

Cristal is survived by her husband of 26 years, George LeGault of Orange City, Florida; son, Garrett Rochester; sister, Connie Upton (Chuck); stepsons, Matthew LeGault and his fiancé, Veronica Marking, and Andrew LeGault (Susan); stepmother, Elizabeth Garrett; stepsisters, Shelly Littlewood, Shari Littlewood, Teresa Robinson, Eddyce Sullivan, Dodie Porter, Lynn Dike, and Diane Thomas; stepbrothers, Curt Littlewood, and Merl Littlewood; as well as many cousins. There are also several foster children which she cared for. Finally, her beloved dog, Susie, a Jack Russell Terrier, who could always be found in her lap most evenings.

Cristal was predeceased by her father, David L. Garrett; her mother Nancy, (Hubbard) Garrett; her paternal grandmother, Laverna (Bien) Brown; her paternal grandfather Earl T. Garrett; her maternal grandmother, Doris (Smith) Hubbard; her maternal grandfather, Albert H. Hubbard; and several aunts and uncles.
