Obituary

Cosker "Skip" Hairelson Jr. 62 a long-time resident of Palm Coast FL passed away at his home on June 23 2010 after battling a long-illness. His family was at his side. A memorial service will be held in St. Petersburg at a later date. Skip was born on June 28 1947 at McDill A.F.B. in Tampa. He owned and operated Ocean City Utilities a water plant in Flagler County for 20 years and was a life member of the Moose. He was a brilliant man and an avid reader. He enjoyed music history and being surrounded by friends and family. Skip will be remembered most for his kind heart. Left to cherish his memory is his mother Stella Hairelson of St. Petersburg FL; sons David (Jamie) of Tennessee and their two children Austin and Ryan son Richard of Washington State; stepson Richard (Jacqueline) Hunter of North Daytona; grandson Michael granddaughter Vanessa; nephew Jason of Clearwater FL and life partner and dearest friend Gail Hillis. He was predeceased by his father Cosker Hairelson Sr. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler.
