Graveside Services for Cortlan M. Smith 85 of Bunnell FL who passed away on Tuesday January 15 2008 at Stewart F. Meyers Hospice Center Palm Coast will be held on Friday January 18 2008 at 10:00 am at Shady Rest Cemetery Holly Hill. The family will be receiving friends at the Lohman Funeral Home 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Surviving him is his wife of 57 years Joan of Bunnell; his two daughters Jeanie Blanton Sandra Smith six grandchildren Jeff Kennedy Matt Potts George Clark Corie Blanton Jenny Blanton and Joey Kay Clark along with four great-grandchildren. Cortlan was born December 29 1922 in Daytona Beach FL. He served in the US Army during WW II. He married Joan Titus April 19 1950. He worked for FPL as an Electrician for many years where he was a member on one of the first of two crews with trucks to work both Volusia and Flagler Counties. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
