Leroy E. Copp 86 Port Orange passed away on September 17 2009. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday September 23 at Baggett & Summers Funeral Home 11:00 a.m. 736 S. Beach St. Daytona Beach. The family will receive guest an hour prior to the service. Leroy was born January 9 1923 in Thief River Falls MN to Harvey and Emma Copp. Leroy was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served in WWII. He volunteered in the Volusia County Schools for 28 years as a math tutor. Leroy was a supervisor for Farmers Home Administration. He loved walking on the beach and was an avid fisherman. Leroy was member of the Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church the Masonic Lodge Bahia Shrine VFW Post # 3282 and the American Legion Post # 0270. Leroy leaves behind his loving wife Carol Copp of 60 years; five nieces and nephews; many loving family members and friends from church. Leroy will be greatly missed and always in our hearts. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home.
