Connie Lynn
Strasser
Sep 14, 1953 — Apr 4, 2023
Connie Lynn Strasser was born on September 14, a birthday she shared with her mother, in Ormond Beach. She was the first-born child of Helen and Charlie Strasser. She passed away peacefully on April 4, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Connie grew up in Ormond Beach with her parents and her siblings, Chuck, Scott, and LeeAnn. She attended Seabreeze High School. After high school, Connie started working for the brand new Walt Disney World theme park in Orlando. She and her cousin, Lindy, were some of the first employees of Disney World and she always remembered her time there fondly. Connie always loved Disney movies, even as an adult, with her favorite being Lady and the Tramp (but the Little Mermaid was a close second). After Disney, she worked for Florida Power and Light as a meter reader, and later as a secretary at the family business, Strasser Construction.
She is best remembered by her family as always being a kid at heart. Connie loved being in the sun, and most weekends you could find her floating in the pool, usually accompanied by one of her dogs on the float with her and a glass of Dr. Pepper in the cupholder. Her nieces and nephews remember her fondly as the "fun aunt" who would splash and play with them in the pool, sneak them junk food, and give out endless amounts of candy on holidays. Just like her mother Helen, Connie loved Christmas. Decorations were a must, and she made Chex mix and Christmas morning souffle every year. She helped hide Easter eggs in the backyard for all the grandkids on Easter morning. She loved dancing and being silly, and loved kids and animals.
She had countless dogs and cats throughout the years (who were very spoiled). She loved her family dearly and was a dedicated daughter, sister, and aunt who will be greatly missed.
