Connie J.  Schmelzzle, 78, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away on September 23, 2022 at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL.  She was born on October 5, 1944 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Anthony and Penelope Nikitas.  She retired as a Journalist.

She is survived by her devoted and loving Husband, Thomas Schmelzle (48 years married); her Children, Maria Armas and John Schmelzle (Kristen Boozman); Grandchildren,Peyton and Morgan Kuzemka and Alexandria Schmelzle;  her Brother, Georgia (Sylvia) Nikitas and her son-in-laws, Robert Kuzemka and Luis Armas. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Anthony and Penelope Nikitas.

A Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm with the Funeral Service being held at 1:00pm on Tuesday October 4, 2022 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
