Connie A Longo of Port Orange, Fl went to be with the angels in heaven on October 24th, 2014 with her family at her bedside, she was 66. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday Oct 30, 2014 at Lohman Funeral Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton, Ave Port Orange at 6pm with a gathering one hour prior.
Connie was born on July 8th, in Siracusa, Sicily. The first of 8 siblings, she moved to Tripoli and eventually to the states in 1960. She attended school in New York where she pursued a career in nursing & bookkeeping before moving to Port Orange, Florida in 1986. She married Mike Waldman in 1987 and pursued a successful career in real estate while raising their children.
She was a loving, caring, and strong willed wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. A fierce and loyal entity, she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Connie had a green thumb, enjoyed cooking & baking. Strong in traditional family values, and always available to help anyone in need. She attended Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange.
Connie is survived by her husband Mike and daughters, Sarina and Amanda; her step-son, Christopher Waldman (Abigail) and her grandchildren Arianna, Matthew, and Daniel; her siblings: Emanuele Longo (Diana), Yvana Sanclemente (Leonardo), Yolanda Longo (Dan), Anthony Longo, Robert Longo (Joanne), and Stephanie Boyles (Douglas); and extended family including nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents: Rocco and Rosaria Longo and her sister, Josephine Leschitz.
