Clementine M. Pajak
GLENVILLE Clementine M. Pajak 88 formerly of Schenectady joined her husband Alvin in eternal rest on January 24 2006 following an extended illness. She was a patient at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach and had relocated to Fla. this past year to be with her daughter. Clementine was born in Schenectady on July 24 1917 and passed away on her 88 1/2 birthday. She was the daughter of the late Anthony Giniecki and was the sister of the late Germaine Mineconzo and Edward Giniecki of N.J. She is survived by her daughter Penny Pajak Mrs. John T. Croote of Cliffwood Circle Ormond Beach Fla.; three grand-cats; several nieces and nephews. Clementine graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and worked briefly for the General Electric Company. During the 1930s and 40s she sang with the Kalina Glee Club a highly respected local Polish musical chorale where she was known equally for her soprano voice and perfect pitch as she was for her natural platinum blonde hair. Clementine also worked for the city school district as a lunch mom at Pleasant Valley School and during the 70s as a clerk for City Judge Romolo Versaci. She moved to Glenville in 1993 and she joined the Scotia-Glenville Senior Citizens Center where she enjoyed bingo friendship and the mealsite. She also enjoyed helping the Scotia-Glenville Republicans every election campaign since moving to the town. She was a longtime volunteer for the Junior League Next to New Shop and Proctor''''s Historical Room. Clementine and Alvin owned and operated Myers'''' Pharmacy and post office on Crane Street for many years. She was active in supporting Schenectady and Mont Pleasant activities. She was involved with the Mt. Pleasant Co-op neighborhood betterment groups and was deeply honored to be named a Schenectady Patroon by Mayor Al Jurczynski for her efforts to help revitalize the Mt. Pleasant area. A community advocate she was proud to support both Mayor Al and Mayor Karen Johnson during their tenures in office. Clem as she was known enjoyed knitting reading and creating award-winning ceramics. She had a sharp wit sense of humor a quick comeback and strong will that remained until she died. Clementine was a communicant of St. Adalbert''''s Church in Schenectady. Arrangements in Fla. have been carefully directed by Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach.
