A Memorial Service for Clayton J. "Clancy" Kohut who died Tuesday March 6 2007 at his home in Port Orange will be held on Monday March 12 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Hospice Chapel Port Orange. Arrangements are with Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach. Surviving him are his loving wife Dorothy a Son Michael Kohut Mims FL a Daughter Nancy Root Daytona Beach FL Grandchildren Jenny Finer CJ Root RJ Leonard Jamie Leonard Jackie Kohut Sean Kohut Great Grandchildren Oliver Kohut Emily Root and Lilly Leonard. He was predeceased by a Son Jimmy Kohut. Clancy was born March 12 1924 in Ashtabula OH the Son of Michael and Anna Tozik Kohut. He married Dorothy Shoff June 25 1949. He served in the US Army in the 254th field artillery battalion during WW II. He worked at A&B Dock for 32 years as a crane and Hewlett operator. After retirement the couple came to Florida in 1979. While in Florida he worked for Capo Sunglass Company. He enjoyed the beach boating lighthouses working in his garage fixing everything and anything. He especially enjoyed woodworking.
