Clay Pletcher, 51 of Lexington, N. Carolina, formerly of Ormond Beach, passed away on Tuesday, May 5th at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 9th at 1:00 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Clay was born January 27, 1964 in Manchester, Tennessee to Clifford and Ella Jane Pletcher. Before he and his wife relocated to Lexington, Clay worked at Billy's Tap Room for many, many years. It was there that he well known and well loved. In 2010
Clay and Kat relocated to NC and he went to work as a Tire Supply Sales Distributor with his brother in law Russ. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing, boating, cooking and the outdoors.
Clay is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Kathlyn "Kat" Pletcher, Lexington, NC, his mother, Ella Jane Ward of Edgewater, FL and his sisters, Cindy Smith of West Virignia, Kathy Flatley of Holly Hill, and Becky Baldwin of Edgewater and many other family members & friends.
Clay was an avid animal lover therefore in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Project Pearl in partnership with Forsyth County Animal Control, Winston Salem, NC.
